You’ve been cleaning your air fryer all wrong – woman shows the right way and you won’t even have to scrub it

AIR FRYERS have become all the rave these past few months, but do you know how to properly clean them?

TikTok star, Tanya, who shares plenty of home hacks, revealed that there is a much easier way to do so than scrubbing it in the sink.

According to the cleaning enthusiast, all you really need to do is add a little bit of dish soap to the pan before adding a cup of water.

After putting the pan back in its place, you'll want to heat it up for three minutes.

The heat will loosen up all the caked-up grease, making it easier to clean.

Once it's done, separate the basket from the basket base and dump out the dirty water.

Give it a quick rinse to get rid of the soap and you're all done!

Following her video, many took the comment section to reveal other cleaning hacks.

One person shared that they line their air fryer with parchment paper to avoid any spills.

Another person said they simply used foil for the same purpose, which avoided them needing to clean the basket.

Aside from your air fryer, there are other areas of your kitchen that you are forgetting to clean properly.

TikTok user Skylar Toth often shares videos of her extreme cleaning habits with her 530,000 followers.

And she recently revealed the most neglected areas in your home that could definitely do with a good scrub.

In her series named ‘Things in your home you should clean but probably forgot about’ Skylar revealed just how dirty these areas can get.

She began by using a toothbrush to scrub away any dirt and grime on the head of her sink hose.

The next place that is likely in need of a clean is the dust compartment of your vacuum cleaner.

Skylar demonstrated how you can use cleaning liquid to clean the drum and the dust-collecting sponge making your vacuum far more efficient.

The next spot to tackle is your coffee machine, or more specifically the drip tray.

Skylar lifted off the steel grate to reveal that the plastic below is covered in coffee stains but a quick scrub with dish soap will have it sparkling once more.

Lastly, Skylar demonstrated the importance of giving your kitchen trash can a clean as this can stop the spread of bacteria, and make it smell a whole lot better.

She took them into the backyard before adding a squirt of a cream cleaner to each, she then used a hose to rinse out any debris.
