Paul George's Nike PG 5 Champions Comfort Over Everything

Much like his last signature — the Nike PG 4 — this hoops-ready silhouette is manufactured with a low profile. However, the Clippers‘ forward and his Swoosh family have decided to aesthetically forge this new design with a minimalist’s mentality. Gone are the external zip-up exteriors and in come a base layer which alternates between breathable mesh paneling across the toe boxes and quarter, while the forefoot overlay and heels are crafted with tumbled leather. Extra elements on the upper can be found by way of exposed stitches at the forefoot, an eyeliner-shaped eye stay near the ankle and a duo of Swooshes that split between a medium sized version on the lateral heel and miniature embroidered logo on the medial.

The midsole unit down under brings back the the full-length Nike Air Dot Weld Strobel cushioning from the PG4, and is structured with two pockmarked molds that connect the top and bottom pieces. Outsoles are features a multi-directional tread pattern almost reminiscent of topographical patterns in an effort provide premium stop-and-go traction during on-court play.
