I bought a £46 Kim Kardashian Skims top and a cheap dupe from Shein – here’s which came out on top | The Sun

FINDING a stylish top that also fits well and is good quality can be harder than you think.

When this fashion lover forked out £46 for a simple top from Kim Kardashian's brand, Skims, she thought it would be perfect.

But when it arrived she compared it to her much cheaper top from Shein and was baffled by the difference between to two tops.

Chisom showed both of the tops off on TikTok, saying: "right off the bat, Skims is see through, you can literally see the colour of my necklace through the fabric.

"The seams are really messy and uneven too."

For the fashion lover, the skin-tight Skims top wasn't what she expected at all.

She explained: "What I wanted for £46 was a luxurious, thick, nice jersey t-shirt."

The material of the Skims top wasn't what Chisom was hoping for, "It's the same material as a thick pair of tights, you can literally see right through it," she said.

Although the Shein dupe was also slightly see through it wasn't as bad, and for only £5.99 it was a fraction of the price.

She added: "I personally think the Shien one is much better quality and it's 90 percent cheaper."

Some people couldn't believe the difference: "No way!! I'm shocked by the stitching on Skims."

A second said: "But once you start sweating in the Shein one the rings stain under your armpits!"

Another quipped:" I still prefer Skims, it looks better!"

However not everyone was convinced, one person said: "I think the Skims one is better and more flattering!"

Another said: "I bought two from Shein and wear them more than my Skims one!"
