Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton look all loved-up in Portugal amid coronavirus

Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton didn’t let their concerns over the coronavirus pandemic stop them from jetting off to Portugal for a quick break.

Stacey and her professional dancer boyfriend jetted overseas for some quality couple time and the duo couldn’t have looked more loved-up during their break.

They were seen holding hands as they strolled by the sea on Tuesday, before stopping off at a cafe and checking in on their phones.

Stacey was dressed down in an over-sized grey jumper and matching tracksuit bottoms, while Kevin wore a plain black t-shirt and jeans for their day out in the sunshine.

Both hid behind shades and looked nothing but relaxed as they enjoyed a break away from work.

Their quick trip away came as countries are now taking measures to prevent coronavirus from spreading, with many European countries choosing to close their borders.

While Portugal is yet to follow suit, it has enforced bars to close early at 9pm, schools will be closing as of Monday, with Lisbon disinfecting train carriages with a product that lasts for a month, reports The Portugal News.

As of Sunday (15 March), Portugal has 245 confirmed cases of coronavirus, but no deaths as of yet due to the flu-like infection.

Here in the UK, there have been 35 deaths due to coronavirus, while 1,372 have been confirmed to have Covid-19.

Stacey and Kevin are now back in the UK, with Kevin back in rehearsals for his Burn The Floor tour after announcing he has quit Strictly Come Dancing.

He said in a statement: ‘The past 7 years have been some of the most wonderful years of my life. I am grateful to the BBC and Strictly Come Dancing for giving me the opportunity to have been a part of something truly special.’

Kevin, who won the series with girlfriend Stacey in 2018, said he wanted to leave the show on a high, after picking up the trophy for both Strictly’s Children In Need special and Christmas special.

Stacey reacted to the news by calling Kevin the ‘King of Strictly’.

She wrote in a rare post of PDA underneath Kevin’s announcement: ‘I could burst with pride ❤️ Undeniably, the most successful pro on Strictly. Won everything, treated everyone with respect and kindness, worked SO bloody hard and now, leaving on a high. You will always be the King of Strictly.’

Stacey and Kevin went public with their relationship after they had starred on Strictly together and following Stacey’s split from her ex Sam Tucknott.

The couple are usually pretty private when it comes to their romance, but speaking about Kevin to The Guardian, Stacey said: ‘Kev and I have agreed not to go into too much detail about our private lives because you can’t really indulge that and then ask for privacy.

‘That’s why we’ve turned down interviews that have offered us tens of thousands of pounds. What I am happy to say is Kev’s amazing, I’m happy, life happens, I’ve got an amazing career and I’m very lucky.’
