ATTEMPT's FW21 Collection Displays Organized Chaos

Chinese label ATTEMPT, founded by Liang Dong in 2015, explores “-isms” in its latest Fall/Winter 2021 collection.

The brand describes “-isms” (realism, romanticism, etc.) as a collection of ideas or a complete system of thoughts and beliefs. These “-isms” use different methods to realize distinct goals that influence thoughts, movements and techniques. The FW21 collection “ATTISM” embodies the ATTEMPT thought, advocating for “diversified survival modes in the rule system.” Holding the dichotomous belief that restrictions are freedom, and conflicts are distinct displays of rationality, this collection is a display of organized chaos and emphasizes changes in the rule system.

The ideas are displayed through elements of point, line, and plane, seen via exposed stitching, buttons, purposefully placed cuts, and contours, giving off a feeling of reconstruction. The collection consists of earthy tones and neutral hues of black and white.  Silhouettes include a range of tailored jackets, sweaters, shirts, bottoms, and bags in relaxed fits.

ATTEMPT’s FW21 “ATTISM” collection will be launched at the ATTEMPT offline and online stores in the near future.
