Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan, 38, has experienced a bittersweet birthday this year, as her parents couldn’t be with her to celebrate. The professional dancer’s mum and dad, who live in Poland, still haven’t met her baby daughter Ella, who she welcomed with her husband James Jordan, 42, in February.
Ola hasn’t been able to see her parents since they visited for her birthday in 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic and revealed she “really missed” them while marking the occasion with James and Ella last week.
The star explained: “I really missed them on my birthday especially.
“The longer it gets, I’m missing them more and more.
“It’s hard for me because they haven’t even seen my baby.”

Ola continued to Hello! Magazine: “I haven’t seen them for a year now.
“They were here for my birthday last year but we didn’t see them at Christmas because we were doing panto, and they were going to come when I gave birth but then obviously there was the outbreak so they couldn’t do that either.”
The television personality previously admitted her dad “cried” over how much he wanted to hold his first granddaughter.
Addressing the difficult situation back in June, she said in her and James’ column for the publication: “Ella hasn’t really seen many people, and my dad cried the other day, he said he just wanted to hold her.
“I was FaceTiming my mum and dad and Ella was watching the phone.
“My dad was making all of these noises and speaking to her, and she was really smiling and moving and my poor dad just bursts into tears!”
Ola went on to explain how she doesn’t want to put her parents at risk as a result of COVID-19.
She divulged at the time: “I don’t want to put them at risk.

“Even if everyone starts flying tomorrow, I’d still want them to wait.”
Elsewhere, James opened up about a parenting mishap he suffered after giving Ella a sugary snack right before bed.
The Dancing on Ice winner posted a video onto his Instagram explaining: “So, I thought I was being good daddy helping Ola out while she was upstairs.
“I mixed up some apple and banana for Ella.
“Now I think she’s had a sugar rush and there is no way she’s going to bed.”
He then turned to his daughter and said: “What are you doing? Is Daddy silly? I didn’t know.
“Look at you! So much energy, wonderful! What time are you going to keep us up to tonight?”
The little one was seen kicking her legs while holding a toy, as her dad said: “Oh dear.”
