Nicole Scherzinger reveals mum’s ‘scary’ open heart surgery before Christmas

Nicole Scherzinger shared a cute photo and video with her mother, revealing to fans that her mum had undergone open heart surgery just two weeks before Christmas.

The Pussycat Dolls star, 42, shared a photo of her with her sister, Keala Leemon, and mother, Rosemary Elikolani, by their beautiful white Christmas tree, labelling it the ‘greatest gift’ to be able to spend their day together.

She wrote: ‘Merry Christmas everyone. Can’t believe just over 2 weeks ago you battled your 2nd open heart surgery mommy.

‘It has been a hard and scary road, but you are our miracle. The greatest Christmas gift is to be with you today. I love you more than anything #familyiseverything #faith#melekalikimaka’.

The trio also recorded a video wishing her followers a merry Christmas, with Rosemary appearing to be on the road to recovery as she smiled in the video, saying Mele Kalikimaka, the Hawaiian translation of ‘happy Christmas’.

Nicole also recently opened up about her plans to start a family with her boyfriend Thom Evans, 35, but they are trying to find the right time.

She told the Mirror: ‘He’s my man… the man of my dreams. I definitely want kids, at the right time.

‘It is all about timing. It’s kind of hard now because I’m supposed to be touring next year, so it’s just about timing [but] I’ve always wanted a family.’

She added: ‘It’s just been a blessing to be able to have, like, a normal, healthy relationship and take time for myself.

‘I’m doing really good. He is my partner in crime, my best friend. We love to laugh together, we are big goofballs.

‘We laugh together, we dance together, we sing together and cook together.’

The couple met while filming the X Factor last year and have kept fans up to date with their relationship with a series of loved-up selfies on Instagram ever since.
