Meghan Markle Calls Ruth Bader Ginsburg a "True Inspiration" in Tribute

Ever since the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, celebrities and politicians have mourned her death. And now, royals are too. Meghan Markle recently released a touching statement to People detailing the impact RBG had on her life from childhood to adulthood.

“With an incomparable and indelible legacy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg will forever be known as a woman of brilliance, a Justice of courage, and a human of deep conviction,” Meghan said. “She has been a true inspiration to me since I was a girl. Honor her, remember her, act for her.”

RBG died at the age of 87, CNN reported and according to NPR, the Supreme Court announced her death, which was caused by complications from metastatic cancer of the pancreas. Ginsburg served on the Supreme Court since 1993, having been appointed by then-president Bill Clinton. The court’s statement said she died in her home in Washington surrounded by family.

“Our nation has lost a justice of historic stature,” Chief Justice John Roberts said. “We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her, a tired and resolute champion of justice.”

RBG’s legacy as an advocate for democracy will never be forgotten and her life will continue to inspire men and women across the country. We can keep RBG in our hearts by watching movies and TV shows about her and by remembering her famous quotes.

NPR reported that before her death, she was still thinking about America’s future. She told her granddaughter, Clara Spera, “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”
