Countryfile star Matt Baker, who lives on a farm with his wife and two kids, regularly documents his homelife on social media, leading followers to suggest he should have his own TV show. The 42-year-old presenter was giving his 217,000 Instagram followers an update about an animal on his farm, when fellow television star Eamonn Holmes said he must “make a reality show.”

The This Morning presenter made his comments online yesterday after being amazed by Matt’s farming skills.

The father-of-two stunned Eamonn, along with many of his fans, when he posted a picture of himself after shearing a Shetland pony.

“Neither of us could believe the amount of hair that came off!” Matt told fans alongside the post.

Sharing a bit more information, he added: “What a lad out Beano is… north of 30 yrs young and his loving his new summer coat #newcoat #takeyourcoatoff #shetlandpony #farmlife #pony #hair.”(sic)

“Oh my word! I thought I had a thick head of hair. Wow Beano will be feeling so much better and 10 years younger, that’s from experience. Love your animals Matt,” one fan wrote next to the post.

“Just amazing… Matt,” ITV star Eamonn, 60, said when he took the comments section of the photo.

“U must make a reality show …turn all of this into telly.”(sic) he went on to say.

“We love that! #Mattsfarm&family,” a follower who was clearly impressed by the suggestion added.

Life on the farm never stops for Matt, who got up early this Sunday morning to complete a long list of jobs.

He told fans he had already ticked off most of the items on his to do list and posted a video of himself knocking down an internal wall in his barn before lunchtime.

Next to the footage, he wrote: “Morning jobs done so far – dogs out – animals fed and knocked down a wall in the old barn.”

“How’s your list going,” he cheekily added.

“Not even had the first cup of tea yet!” one social media user remarked.

Radio presenter Nicki Chapman shared a similar sentiment.

“All this already!! Impressive – still in bed.”
