A Place In The Sun presenter Jasmine Harman has been a firm fixture on screens since her show debut in 2004. The Channel 4 presenter is no stranger to on-screen mishaps and behind the scenes blunders.

The 45-year-old has opened up about the moment her husband Jon Boast got completely “soaked” while filming the programme.

Jasmine revealed that her other half suffered a major mishap while shooting the series.

The two met while both working on A Place in the Sun, with Jon as a cameraman and Jasmine in her current role as host.

The small-screen star revealed her spouse decided to film a segment from the shower of a property, alongside the soundman.

But it didn’t completely go to plan as the house hunters witnessed a filming disaster.

“There are times when you’re trying to film in a small room,” Jasmine explained.

“Now, we just have to get shots of it because we can’t fit into a tiny room like the shower room.”

She went on: “We were having a little look around the property with the house hunters and my husband Jon was filming it.

“My close friend Antonio was the soundman on the shoot.

“Because we were in this tiny bathroom filming they have both backed into the shower.

“They wanted to give the house hunters a bit more space to have a look.”

She continued: “They filmed this little section and as they stepped out of the shower, Antonio’s belt got caught on the tap.

“The shower came on over their heads and soaked the camera and all their equipment.”

The Channel 4 presenter recalled that everything that was filmed was completely “ruined”.

“Everything we shot that morning was still in the camera and it had all been ruined,” Jasmine chuckled.

“Jon had to take the camera apart completely, dry it all out and we managed to get it working again.

“But we had to start all of the filming over again because the camera had got soaked and all the footage was gone.”

She added: “Could you imagine going into a room with two fully clothed men with their sound equipment in the shower trying to keep a straight face? Then the shower turned on. It was terrible timing but there you go.”

Jon and Jasmine eventually tied the knot in 2009 and soon welcomed two adorable children, a son named Albion and a daughter, Joy.

Meanwhile, Jasmine is celebrating the 21st anniversary of A Place In The Sun this month.

“For me, it’s quite emotional, to be honest. I just feel proud to be part of it and proud of how many people’s dreams we make come true,” Jasmine said.

A Place In The Sun airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 3 pm.
