Georgia Toffolo’s car window smashed in and handbag stolen in New Year’s Eve disaster

Georgia Toffolo hasn't had the best start to the New Year as her car window was smashed in and her handbag stolen overnight.

The 25 year old took to Instagram to show the result of the crime to her 1.9million followers after she found her car smashed.

She is heard saying to her fans in a social media post: "Happy New Year everyone. Someone just threw a brick through my car window and stole my handbag.

"But on the bright side he left a tampon and my favourite blusher. Trying to look on the bright side of things, it's not great."

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Georgia managed to stay in high spirits though and still celebrated the start of 2020 by partying with friends in a stunning gold dress.

The break in comes just days after the former Made In Chelsea star was left begging for urgent help as she had her passport taken off her and was detained in the Maldives.

She posted on Instagram to inform her fans that she was essentially being deported back to London, and requesting help to get her an emergency passport.

However, things soon turned sour with Georgia updating her fans in teary videos claiming that she had no options – and has had no luck trying to get in touch with anybody from the British Embassy.

Breaking down, she said: "I wasn't allowed to leave the airport to get to the British Embassy.

"I'm trying to hold it together but I've been here for hours and hours and I'm not allowed to leave the the airport on any flights because my passport is damaged. But I'm also not allowed to go into the Maldives so I don't know what do.

"I'm so upset, I've tried so hard to get in touch with any British representative here but there's nobody here, I just don't know what to do.

"I'm looking at four days in a centre until the next flight that would be willing to take me home."

She tearfully added: "I've been crying for hours and hours, this is a really horrible situation to be in.

"I'm in the in-between bit of the detention centre. I'm finding it really horrible, I've asked to speak to a British consulate so many times but they've said no, and now I'm not allowed back in the departures terminal. It's so bad I don’t know how this is even legal."

Luckily, thinks soon turned out well for Georgia and she was released after nine hours in the centre.
