EastEnders star Ben Hardy is rubbing shoulders with Hollywood’s elite tonight after making a surprise appearance on the Oscars 2019 red carpet.
The actor – who played Peter Beale in the BBC One soap – turned up at the glitzy event in Los Angeles.
Ben, 28, got an invitation to the event as he has a role in Oscar-nominated movie Bohemian Rhapsody.
He plays Roger Taylor opposite Remi Malik as Freddy Mercury.
However, many celebrity watchers were left baffled to see a former soap star at the bash tonight.
One tweeted: "Still trying to wrap my head around Peter Beale being at the actual Oscars."
Another added: "Peter Beale at the Oscars? A step up from the Soap Awards, innit?!"
A third wrote: "Amazing how peter beale is at the oscars."

He landed his breakout role in X-Men: Apocalypse before going on to act in Only The Brave and Mary Shelley.
Bohemian Rhapsody is his latest project and it looks set for huge success tonight.
