Caroline Flack’s boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, took to social media this afternoon to pay tribute to the Love Island star, days after her death.
The former tennis player posted an unseen picture of the couple on his Instagram account as her cause of death was confirmed today.
Caroline’s death was confirmed as suicide by hanging, an inquest in London has disclosed.
In the social media picture, which was shared with Lewis’ 210,000 Instagram followers, the smiling couple could be seen in a cosy embrace while on holiday.
He captioned the post with a broken heart emoji.
Caroline died on February 15, at the age of 40.
A lawyer for her family confirmed the news.
The presenter hit the headlines in December after she was arrested and charged over an incident with her boyfriend Lewis.
Caroline pleaded not guilty to assault at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on December 23.
The ITV star had been due to go on trial on March 4, despite her boyfriend withdrawing his complaint.
Three days ago, a heart broken Lewis paid tribute to Caroline on Instagram.

He wrote: “My heart is broken we had something so special.”
The model continued: “I am so lost for words I am in so much pain I miss you so much I know you felt safe with me you always said I don’t think about anything else when I am with you and I was not allowed to be there this time I kept asking and asking.”
Lewis went on to say: “I will be your voice baby I promise I will ask all the questions you wanted and I will get all the answers nothing will bring you back but I will try make you proud everyday.
“I love you with all my heart.”
