There's truly nothing more satisfying than popping a pimple — and there's nothing more terrible than dealing with the aftermath. And by the aftermath, I mean the discoloration the pimple leaves behind, which can sometimes linger for months.
Throughout the pandemic, my skin has been going from clear and radiant to being a hot ass mess, thanks to, oh you know, the stress from everything 2020 has had to offer.
Luckily, my beauty BFF-in-my-head Peter Thomas Roth had the good sense to create the Pro Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment, which clears up discoloration fast with its impressive formula of powerhouse skincare ingredients.
The internet's favorite girl niacinamide, along with tranexamic and kojic acids are some of the key ingredients found in the cream, all of which are known to help even out tone and brighten the skin. Together, they work in perfect harmony to give me results fast.

It only took about one week for me to start noticing significant lightening of my stubborn dark spots. About two to three weeks later, they became increasingly unnoticeable, which gave me some sense of relief during this year of hell.
But I will caution those who don't typically use skincare products with high concentrations of active ingredients to take things slow with this cream.
If you're not used to using any of these ingredients, start off by using the product two times a week, then gradually build your way up to daily use. (However, be mindful that this could slow down visible results, so be patient)
Also, whether or not you're new to skincare, make sure to pair the cream with both a moisturizer and SPF, since I found it to be a bit drying (but this could also be a result of the weather shift), and sunscreen helps to prevent further hyperpigmentation as well as melanoma.

While this magical cream is priced at $88, a little truly goes a long way — meaning you'll likely be able to keep it on your vanity for a while. Plus, testing out less effective products can add up anyways, so sometimes it's worth it to just make the investment on something that's likely to give you results the first time.
You can thank me later.
