A woman who showed symptoms of a heart attack was evacuated from a cruise ship late Saturday about 30 miles east of Asbury Park, New Jersey, according to Coast Guard officials.
The 71-year-old woman, who was not identified, was on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Anthem of the Seas when she began experiencing symptoms, according to a news release from the Coast Guard.
Coast Guard personnel took the woman, three family members and a doctor to the Coast Guard’s Sandy Hook station. From there, Sea Bright EMS took her to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, according to the release.
Her condition is currently unknown.
