When a friend or relative moves house, you might decide to buy them a gift to celebrate their new place.
Typically this might be something useful, like a new set of pans, or it could be something decorative like a pretty bunch of flowers to brighten up the place.
But one thing you don't normally see people giving their pals is a load of eggs in a jar.
However, according to one woman on social media, this is the ideal housewarming present to get for someone.
An unnamed Australian shared a photo of the gift on a money saving Facebook group, explaining how it was perfect for an "egg lover".
The gift itself features fresh eggs, placed inside a large glass jar which was purchased from a garage sale for $3 AUD (£1.64).
"Fresh eggs in a three dollar jar from a garage sale is a great prezzy for an egg lover, and a housewarming gift. This jar happens to be a water dispenser as well," the woman said.
More than 1,000 people have responded to the post in the Simple Savers group so far, with many admitting the whole thing had left them feeling baffled.
One person wrote: "Who gives eggs as a housewarming gift?"
"I would literally stop talking to a person if this was their housewarming gift to me. I'm talking complete cut out of my life. Bye bye," replied a second.
Others chose to see the funny side of the present and made jokes about it.
Another said: "Why not just crack the eggs straight in, then you have an omelette dispenser."
"All you gotta do is give the jar a good shake and VOILA! Scramled eggs on tap," commented a fourth person.
Someone else added: "So I've been doing it wrong. Giving a loaf of bread in a hessian bag for a 21st, supposed to be eggs in a jar, right, got it."
