When in the market for a new property, a place to set down roots, you might look through dozens of online real estate listings.
At some point these listings will all start to blur and look pretty similar.
Or at least they will if there’s nothing remarkable about the property – say, like it having a sex dungeon in the basement.
This is the surprising feature that belongs to a beautiful house currently for sale in Maple Glen, a suburb just outside Philadelphia in the US.
When initially looking at the listing on realtor.com the home on a quiet suburban street appears to be the perfect place to raise a family, it’s got wonderful high ceilings, a games room, lots of fireplaces and its own gym.
However on closer inspection, all is not what it seems.
The property description reveals that the home has five bedrooms, four upstairs and one bedroom in the basement.
But the photos attached to the listing show that the basement is much more than just a bedroom, it’s actually a sex room, complete with a sex swing and various whips and chains.
The unique home, which is being likened to something out of Fifty Shades of Grey, is on the market for $750,000 (around £579,127).
Speaking to Buzzfeed News, the home’s Realtor, Melissa Leonard described the property as a "total suburban beautiful home."
She added: "But the twist is it has this sex oasis in the basement."
Leonard also revealed that the owner of the home lived at the property with his family for years, until his wife passed away and they decided to move.
Instead of selling the house, he decided to rent the property out on Airbnb where it was reportedly listed as Maison XS – Just Be You.
People could rent the home for $750 a night and make use of the "underground adult room".
The property has since been removed from the Airbnb site, due to the sale of the house.
Unsurprisingly the real estate listing has gone viral due to the contents of the basement – and even Fifty Shades author E. L. James has tweeted about the place.
This has been a big shock to the neighbours living on the street, who were previously unaware of the goings on inside the property.
One male neighbour was especially angry about the listing and complained to Leonard, telling her to take it down.
According to Slate.com he said: "We’re very upset about this whole thing. We do not want something like this in our neighbourhood. Take that off the internet. That’s digusting. We don’t want that."
